มหิดลสิทธาคาร ถูกออกแบบให้สามารถรองรับการใช้งานที่หลากหลายตั้งแต่พิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร, การปฐมนิเทศนักศึกษา, รวมทั้งการแสดงละคร ดนตรี ศิลปวัฒนธรรมต่างๆ และการประชุมสัมมนาระดับประเทศและภาคพื้นทวีป ฯลฯ ทั้งยังสามารถจัดเป็นห้องบรรยายการเรียนการสอนได้ จึงทำให้การออกแบบต้องคำนึงถึงองค์ประกอบต่างๆ หลายๆ ปัจจัยโดยเฉพาะการจัดแสดงด้านดนตรี ที่ต้องมีความพิถีพิถันทางด้านการออกแบบระบบ Acoustic รวมถึง Space ภายในอาคารให้สามารถถ่ายทอดเสียงไปยังผู้ชมจำนวน 2,016 ที่นั่ง ได้รับฟังอย่างมีคุณภาพ

Prince Mahidol Hall designed for multipurpose music and theater performances, cultural events, national and international seminars and conferences, commencement ceremony, orientation and so forth. Thus the design must consider and incorporate various aspects of multiple uses especially music performances which require a careful design of acoustics and space to exquisitely and accurately transmit sound from the stage to every member of the audience.
